Ghost Head

Once upon a bone-chilling, stormy night in the small, tranquilly eerie town of Dunwich, a tale unfurled that none could easily forget. The story was about a haunting that would shiver the spines of even the bravest men. They called it the tale of the "Ghost Head."

Dunwich was known for its rich, yet dark history. At the very heart of it lay the decrepit and forsaken, Shrieking Manor. The manor had been abandoned for over two centuries, and terrifying legends surrounded its existence. It was whispered that once the manor was home to a cruel, malevolent nobleman, Count Gregory, who practiced dark magic and witchcraft. He was beheaded during the witch trials, and since then, it was said that his disembodied head wandered the manor, crying for vengeance.

One evening, a group of audacious teenagers from Dunwich dared to venture into the Shrieking Manor on a dare. They were laughing, giggling, trying to keep their fear at bay. But as the rusty gates creaked open ominously, their laughter died, replaced by a suffocating silence. They stepped gingerly onto the grounds, nothing but the echo of their footsteps breaking the deathly quiet.

Suddenly, an unsettling chill swept through them, as if the very air around them had turned frigid. A feeling of dread crept into their hearts. Their torchlights began to flicker, casting eerie shadows around. One of them, a lad named Peter, felt a cold sweat trickling down his spine as he noticed something strange. A faint, glowing light was coming from the manor's highest tower. Curiosity piqued, the group decided to investigate.

As they climbed the decaying wooden stairs, the light grew brighter and more distinct, accompanied by an indescribable noise. It was a sound of anguish and despair, a deafening, mournful cry that echoed through the hollow mansion. The eerie cry sent chills down their spine, their hearts hammering against their rib cages. Nevertheless, they pushed forward.
